Upgrades are planned for a 19.25 km section of Jim Jim Falls Road to gravel standard which will improve the safety and amenity of this roadway.

The works will allow for earlier opening of the road during shoulder seasons.

The Northern Territory Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) is delivering a range of road upgrades across Kakadu National Park on behalf of Parks Australia during 2025-2027.
