The cafe at Manbiyarra (Border Store) is closed. Anbinik Restaurant is run by the same team and is open daily, serving up much loved favourites.

Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge offers small group tours exclusive access to a restricted area of Kakadu.

Packages include transfers to and from Manbiyarra (Border Store), comfortable tented cabins with en-suite facilities and decks, a three-course home style dinner and breakfast included and a daily evening tour to the rock art sites and sunset on the escarpment with an experienced guide.

There are extended accommodation and touring options with Arnhemlander Cultural and Heritage 4WD tours and or Guluyambi Cultural Cruises available for one and two night stays.

The lodge is situated in an extremely special and justifiably renowned part of Kakadu, known as Cannon Hill. The area is abundant in wildlife, especially bird and marine life, and is where Kakadu’s diverse landscape elements come together.

The area has considerable importance to the local Aboriginal people, some of whom still live nearby. Cannon Hill is a registered sacred site. The sandstone outliers around Cannon Hill host significant rock art dating back many thousands of years.

The lodge operates between 15 May and 15 October each year. Owned and managed by the Traditional Owners of the clan estates it visits – Kakadu Cultural Tours.
