Kakadu is bursting with botanical life.

From waterlilies to Kakadu plums, the park is home to more than 2000 plant species.

Many of our plants are used by Bininj/Mungguy people for food, medicine and craft materials.

Some plants also act as seasonal indicators, telling Bininj/Mungguy when to harvest certain foods or start patch burning the Country.
