Kakadu Bird Week runs from 23 -27 September 2026.

Home to more than a third of Australia’s bird species, Kakadu is a bird lover’s paradise. It’s the perfect place to discover and learn about the unique birdlife of this magical part of the world, which is dual World Heritage-listed for both its natural and cultural values.

Kurrung season is a great time to visit Kakadu — expect hot weather, fewer crowds and more wildlife.

H5 Bird Flu Update

Please be aware that cases of H5 bird flu have been confirmed in Australia. While there are no confirmed cases in Kakadu National Park, we are monitoring the situation closely.

In some circumstances, an event or tour may need to be relocated or cancelled at short notice, including up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. If this occurs, ticket holders will be notified by email and receive a full refund.
