Jim Jim region bushwalking closures
From Wednesday 1 October, the Barrk Marlam, Twin Falls Plateau (escarpment) and other extended bushwalks in the Jim Jim region will be closed for the season as temperatures rise to 40 degrees.
These annual closures help keep visitors safe as temperatures rise across the park.
If you’re planning a visit before the end of September, you still have time to enjoy some of Kakadu’s most memorable walking experiences with the opportunity to experience stone country scenery and sweeping Kakadu views.
Don’t forget to carry sufficient water supplies and wear sturdy footwear before setting out.
