Motor Car Falls and Gimbat Day Use Closed Due to Heavy Rain and Flooding Risk
Motor Car Falls and Gimbat Day Use have been closed in Kakadu National Park following heavy rainfall and an increased risk of flooding.
The closures are in place for visitor safety as wet season conditions continue to affect access across parts of the park.
Gimbat Day Use will remain closed for the wet season, while Motor Car Falls will reopen once rainfall subsides and the flood risk has eased. We will provide further advice once a reopening date for Motor Car Falls is confirmed.
Boulder Creek Walk remain open for visitors.
Safety remains the highest priority as conditions across Kakadu can change rapidly at this time of year.
Visitors are encouraged to check the Kakadu Access Report for the latest access updates before travelling.
