The Connecting Kakadu project delivered improved mobile coverage across the park, enabling visitors to make calls, access maps and share their experiences in real-time while exploring Kakadu’s popular campgrounds and walking tracks.
Improved coverage is now available at:
- Gunlom campground
- Gungurul
- Karnamarr campground (near Jim Jim and Twin Falls access tracks)
- Mary River Ranger Station
- Northern Information Bay (Arnhem Highway)
- Burrungkuy (Nourlangie) (near the Nourlangie rock art site)
- Maguk Campground (2 km from Maguk Gorge Waterfall)
- Yurmikmik (providing coverage to Boulder Creek Falls and surrounds).
