The Kakadu Road Upgrades will provide a range of benefits to park staff, park users, and the tourism industry more broadly including:
- safety improvements
- protecting our natural springs and water crossings
- extending shoulder season
- reducing maintenance burden
- better access to fishing spots
- roads that support construction of new key attractions
- Bininj/Mungguy employment opportunities.
The Nanguluwurr Access Track will be opened by mid-May.
Works at Two Mile Hole Road and 4WD Track will commence in June.
Works at Top Billabong Access Track will commence in September.
