Two Mile Hole

Two Mile Hole

This secluded billabong is a popular fishing spot for locals but is rarely visited by travellers.

There’s no need to book ahead as it is operated on a first-come, first-served basis. The on-site campground manager will collect your camping fees.

Two kilometres from the entry station is a turn-off to Two Mile Hole Billabong. A 12 km 4WD track through savanna woodlands will deliver you to an area where camping takes place.

There are no facilities or defined camping areas and most who venture to this area just find a shaded area to set up camp.

There is no formed boat ramp, however there is a boat launching opportunity.

This area is not recommended for rooftop tinnies.

Staying safe at Kakadu

We want you to have a fantastic holiday that’s memorable for all the right reasons! Kakadu is a wild place – here are our tips to help you be Crocwise and stay safe, particularly near waterways:

This site is currently closed

Two Mile and Four Mile turnoff area is still too wet for safe vehicle access. Water levels near the billabong remain high, creating a risk of visitors becoming bogged, with limited opportunities to safely turn around or reverse out once committed to the track. Site will be reassessed in early July. Target opening is August.
