Upgrades are planned for a 2.2km section of Kubara Road to gravel standard which will improve the safety and amenity of this roadway.
The upgrades will realign the road to avoid a number of culturally sensitive areas and eliminate a series of substandard curves.
Kubara Road will remain open during construction works, using traffic management controls.
The Northern Territory Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) is delivering a range of road upgrades across Kakadu National Park on behalf of Parks Australia during 2025-2027.
