On 28 March 2025 the government assumed a Caretaker role. Information on websites maintained by Parks Australia will be published in accordance with the Guidance on Caretaker Conventions until after the conclusion of the caretaker period.

Recognition for Kakadu

Last Saturday at the Brolga Awards, the Northern Territory’s annual tourism awards, Kakadu National Park took out the major tourist attraction prize.

Parks Australia ranger Christian (Tris) Diddams was also named SKAL tourism employee of the year, recognising his dedication and commitment to his job.
