Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge
The cafe at Manbiyarra (Border Store) is closed. Anbinik Restaurant is run by the same team and serving its much-loved favourites daily.
This lodge rests in an extremely special and justifiably-renowned part of Kakadu National Park known as Cannon Hill.
It boasts comfortable tented cabins with en-suite facilities and decks, and three-course home-style dinner and breakfast is included. Knowledgeable and experienced camp hosts and guides take guests on daily evening tours to explore rock art sites and sunset on the escarpment.
Wildlife and Culture
Cannon Hill is abundant in wildlife and is where a large diversity of the park’s landscape elements come together. The area has considerable importance to the local Aboriginal people, some of whom still live near the lodge. In fact, the whole of the Cannon Hill area where the camp is situated is a registered sacred site. The rock art on the sandstone outliers around Cannon Hill dates back many thousands of years.
Visitors have exclusive access to a remote and restricted area of Kakadu in an environmentally and culturally sensitive way when staying at Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge.
Operates between May and September annually. Accommodation and tour packages include transport from and to Manbiyarra (Border Store).
