Crocodile at Cahills Crossing

Join a Traditional Owner at the infamous Cahills Crossing and learn about crocodile behaviour from first hand experience, providing special insights into this powerful and ancient creature.

You’ll be amazed by some local tales and legends. Learn the dos and don’ts of crocodile safety and find out all about the life-cycle of crocodiles, from eggs in the nest through to breeding and later life.

You will also have the opportunity to spot crocs from the best vantage point in the park.

Kakadu National Park reminds visitors to Be Crocwise at all times. Obey all safety signs and comply with directions from Kakadu staff.

Meet at the main viewing platform. The main viewing platform looks directly over Cahills Crossing and gives visitors a great elevated location to safely watch up to 40 crocodiles feeding during the high-tides.

Please email kakaduexperiences@dcceew.gov.au on the day or visit the Bowali visitor centre to confirm if this event is going ahead.

Some questions or curiosities may be insensitive to Bininj/Mungguy people, please navigate this culturally rich landscape sensitively.
