This Indigenous-Owned charitable non-profit organisation, sells paintings on bark and paper, weavings and sculpture as well as hand-screen printed fabric lengths.

At the art centre in Gunbalanya you’ll find artists and weavers working on the covered verandahs on either side of the building. Injalak Arts has around 200 active members – from Gunbalanya and surrounding outstations.

Permits to Arnhem Land are limited, so if you wish to visit, we suggest booking an Injalak Rock Art Tour or an Arnhemlander tour with Kakadu Cultural Tours.

Injalak Arts is an outstanding example of a community organisation that is 100% Aboriginal owned and delivers positive social, economic and cultural outcomes for its members.

Injalak Arts also has an online shop. All items offered for sale are made in Gunbalanya (Oenpelli) and the homelands, and all arts and crafts sold through this store will include a Certificate of Authenticity.

Kakadu pop-up shop

Located near the boundary of Arnhem Land, Manbiyarra (Border Store) is a Kakadu institution. In 2021, Injalak Arts opened a pop-up shop at this iconic site in Kakadu National Park.
