A ranger giving a tour of rock art

Take a guided walk-through shaded rock shelters to popular World Heritage rock art sites.

Be dazzled as you stroll past stunning cliffs of the Arnhem Land escarpment and admire the sheer vastness of the native flora and fauna. Learn of thousands year old stories of the region including Namarrkon, the Lightning Man, who is a powerful creation ancestor.

This 1.5 km circuit walk takes you on a visual journey through time to an outdoor cultural museum where painting, shelters and artefacts present traditional ways.

Remember to bring plenty of drinking water, proper walking shoes, sun protection, hat and insect repellent. We also suggest binoculars and camera.
