Five smaller roads packages will be delivered by the DNP in the shoulder season of 2025 including:

  • Jim Jim Falls 4WD and Twin Falls 4WD Tracks,
  • Patonga Homestead Access & Jim Jim Billabong Road,
  • Two Mile Hole Road,
  • Top Billabong Access and
  • Nanguluwurr Access Track.

The Kakadu Road Upgrades will provide a range of benefits to park staff, park users, and the tourism industry more broadly including:

  • Safety Improvements
  • Protecting our natural springs and water crossings
  • Extending shoulder season
  • Reducing maintenance burden
  • Better access to fishing spots
  • Roads that support construction of NEW key attractions
  • Bininj/Mungguy Employment Opportunities
