Four smaller roads packages will be commencing late 2025 and finishing mid 2026 including:
- Jim Jim Falls 4WD and Twin Falls 4WD Tracks
- Two Mile Hole Road
- Top Billabong Access
- Nanguluwurr Access Track.
The Kakadu Road Upgrades will provide a range of benefits to park staff, park users, and the tourism industry more broadly including:
- safety improvements
- protecting our natural springs and water crossings
- extending shoulder season
- reducing maintenance burden
- better access to fishing spots
- roads that support construction of new key attractions
- Bininj/Mungguy employment opportunities.
